A study carried out by a company called “Informa” revealed that more than half of the people in the world have a contract with a mobile operator.
This information still needs to be fully interpreted and doesn’t necessarily mean that half of the world’s population has a cell phone, but rather that there are some places in the world where cellular diffusion is so widespread that some users have more than one contract.
In any case, the fact that there are 3.3 million contracts with mobile carriers worldwide does indeed mark a sort of cultural revolution that goes way beyond a purely technological one.

Communication has become, and is increasingly becoming, mobile.
In the last 26 years, the cellular phone, first analogical and then digital, has established itself as an instrument for dialogue, a tool for connecting people all over the world. Cell phones have gradually outdone themselves, taking on a myriad of capabilities such as video, photo, agenda, etc.
