According to rumors, Google is working on a new virtual world similar to Second Life. The project is very important and could even become the object of a test in collaboration with the students of the Arizona State University.

The Google Operating System blog is in fact sure that a Beta tester recruitment is already taking place. The questionnaire, pinned on the walls of the ASU corridors, reports a project called “My World”, that has something to do with Gmail accounts, social networking, 3d modeling and videogaming.

At this point speculation is everywhere. What is defined as “My World” could in actual fact be a revolution. We will have to understand if it will be similar in style to Second Life or IBM Virtual World or simply if it will be a mushup of Google Earth, SketchUp and Orkut.
