Google 10th birthday

Posted on 10/10/2008

In honor of its 10th birthday, Google has invited users to take a look back at the oldest available index, which dates back to 2001.
With its original logo, users can browse the search results that were available eight years ago: if you look up “iPod” there are only 1,300 page results, compared with 381 million today. Flickr was an obscure acronym only found on specialized forums, YouTube was totally unknown, and the link to the official World Trade Center website was still active.

This flashback into the past was just one of the many projects the company came up with to celebrate ten years of success.
Google has also launched global brainstorming session to come with ideas on how we can change the world.
